First, Stealthfire has weird dreams and thoughts about other stuff. Then a mysterious cat named Jaggedpelt comes in and scares the clan. Luckily he is killed. Then Crookedface, Stealthfire's dad comes in and talks about the cat groups, and about Jaggedpelt. Later on, Thistlestar and his cats come to the clan for refuge. The same day, leopardfang and her group (the leopard group) comes in to check out the clan and got attacked. Leopardfang stops the fight so that they can talk. They find out more about Stealthfire's grandfather and about another group, the running water group. They say that they got lost along with Stealthfire's granddad, Dashingstar, at the same time. Their quest is to find the group and Dashingstar. Also resolve other mysteries, reason with or defeat Leopardfang, claim territory back, and find out how the cat groups have connections with the 4 main clans. The only connection so far is that Leopardfang is possibly related to Leopardstar, that Dashingstar could be an old ThunderClan leader, a relative of one, or could have lived there before.
So far now, Thistlestar's group is permanently staying with Stormclan. Cedarfang was made deputy of Thistlestar’s group, and robinpaw is now robinfeather. Stealthfire now has to manage all of this and the mysteries, without a leader. Will he have to lead them all? For the rest, leopardfang is creating some type of plan or trap.
Leopardfang's trap didn't work, but the two groups and the clan talked and eventually decided that they would find this lost group. No cat was hurt luckily. Leopardfang said that she wouldn't hurt anyone because they are on a quest. Then Crookedface told then pretty much the whole story of the cat groups afterwards.
The next part has the clan and Thistlestar’s group deciding to help Leopardfang and her crew rescue and look for the running water group. So far they have taken off and gone a bit of a ways past the camp and is at a new camp. Lots more will happen after this point.
Now the cats go back down the cliff and meet some rogues that Jaggedpelt was threatening about. They were ready to kill them, but before that they rogues told them where the running water group might be. After they did some talking, the rogue leader made the deepest wound possible into Leopardfang’s shoulder. Then 2 groups and the clan attacked the rogues but none were killed. Stealthfire then ordered everyone back up the cliff into the strange new camp. That night again Crookedface and some others told stories. Then Wolfheart talked about when his clan was pretty much destroyed.
The next day everyone was fine that the headed back to the fight place and looked around. Stealthfire decided biting on the cat's tail that was in front of you so they could stay together and head down the huge gorse. Hey made it down there to see an area fit for a camp. There was a rock blocking a path. They looked around and met two cats, Rainstar and Swishgust. They were talking to them about what happened to their group and to Dashingstar. The running water group was almost killed, but the leader, deputy, and another strong warrior all barely survived and went down there to make a new camp. The running water group told what happened to them. Then Stealthfire asked about his grandfather, Dashingstar. The running water group knew quite a bit. Then said that we was a great warrior and that he was almost killed in the fight but then leopardfang killed the main cat that was attacking him that saved him but they couldn’t tell what killed him or where he went afterwards. (basically he disappeared) The group also showed them that the 3 groups’ cats and some rogues made a nice camp. Then they decided that there should be 3 groups again, so leopardfang took them to their old territory and later the rogues followed. Soon some cats were suggesting that including Stormclan and the groups, there could e 4 clans.
After this excitement was over, everyone went back to Leopardfang’s camp and sat in their dens. Crookedface decided to take Leopardfang somewhere. No one knows yet.
Later, it turns out to get Leopardfang's nine lives and leaders name. Then the cats make a descision to make four clans. StormClan, LeopardClan, RainClan, and ThistleClan.
